CARLSBAD, CA — Titleist is releasing new, limited-edition, T-Series Black Vapor irons, garnishing tour-proven Titleist clubs with a bold, premium look.
The slick Titanium Carbide Vapor finish is available on T100, T150, T250 and T350 models. The stand-out coating is bonded to the clubhead with a vapor-deposition process and designed for exceptional durability and smudge-resistance. Golf Pride Tour Velvet Blackout grips and True Temper Onyx shaft offerings complete the cool Black Vapor vibe.
Both right- and left-hand models will be offered in the new finish, and blended sets can be custom ordered, allowing golfers to customize their bags based on their unique fitting and performance needs.
A select number of worldwide professional tour players game T-Series Black irons, including Cameron Smith, who was one of the first to ask for the slick black finish on his Titleist irons. Smith plays a setup of T250 and T100 Black irons.
Cameron Smith: “I've used the black finish since the AP2’s came out, I can't remember how long ago,” said Smith, who won the 150th Open Championship with a set of T100 Black irons. “I think for me just how they look, looks like a tighter finish line on top. They also look a little bit smaller, so I feel like you kind of have to concentrate a little bit more to see it.”
